There were six games on Sunday, with 24 goals scored across the board.
In the Liberty A-League, Melbourne City took top spot off Perth Glory with a statement 3-2 win over Sydney FC on the road, Newcastle Jets beat Canberra United in a seven-goal thriller, Adelaide United and Brisbane Roar drew in 1-1 and Melbourne Victory struck late to take all three points against Central Coast.
In the Isuzu UTE A-League, Adelaide United responded to a thumping 5-1 defeat to Sydney FC last time out, travelling to Ballarat and recording a 3-1 win over Western United. In the earlier kick-off, Brisbane Roar overcame a fast-finishing Perth Glory with a 2-1 triumph at Suncorp Stadium.

MATCH REPORT: 91st minute strike fires Victory to dramatic win over Central Coast
A dramatic 91st minute strike from McKenzie Weinert has extended Melbourne Victory’s unbeaten run to four straight games, rescuing all three points in a tight 2-1 win over Central Coast Mariners at the Home of the Matildas.
Kurea Okino’s first goal in Victory colours gave the home side the lead on the hour mark, before a brilliant strike from Faye Bryson brought the scores level just over 10 minutes later.
With time expiring, Weinert got in behind the Mariners defence and fired home a late winner to wrap up a third win of the season for Victory.
Jeff Hopkins’ side go into the international break sitting in fourth place on the standings, turning their form around brilliantly since late October where they went into the last break with consecutive losses to start the season.

Brisbane Roar were made to work late in a 2-1 win over Perth Glory at Suncorp Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Roar were cruising to victory with a two-goal advantage thanks to a pair of second-half goals to Henry Hore and Jay O’Shea, but a 94th-minute header from Aleksandar Šušnjar made things interesting late in the piece.
The hosts managed to see out the rest of additional time to collect three points and jump into fourth spot on the Isuzu UTE A-League table.

MATCH REPORT: City leap into first after holding on to victory against fast-finishing Sydney FC
Melbourne City have hung on to a 3-2 win over a fast finishing Sydney FC on Sunday afternoon, to claim top spot on the Liberty A-League standings going into the international break.
City – who took the field for the first time since losing star attacker Holly McNamara to a season ending knee injury – were absolutely ruthless going forward in the first-half, opening up a three-goal lead before half-time at Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre.
Julia Grosso opened the scoring and Emina Ekic’s ‘Olimpico’ doubled their lead, before Daniela Galic curled home City’s third.
New Sydney signing Jordan Thompson brought one back for the reigning Liberty A-League double winners, but their momentum was seemingly cut short by a 30 minute delay due to lightning within 10 kilometres of the venue immediately after the goal.
When play resumed, Charlotte McLean brought one back to set up a grandstand finish, but City withstood the late pressure from the Sky Blues to come away with the win – their first away to Sydney since December 2019.

MATCH REPORT: Star striker fires Jets to victory over Canberra in seven-goal thriller only hours after signing for the club
Sarina Bolden enjoyed a Newcastle Jets debut to remember, scoring a brace only hours after her signing was announced by the club in a highly-entertaining 4-3 victory over Canberra United at McKellar Park.
Michelle Heyman fired Canberra into the lead after only 70 seconds, but the Jets fired back with two goals in eight minutes through Bolden and star midfielder Emily van Egmond.
Vesna Milivojevic brought the home side level after her free-kick took a slight deflection on the way through to goal, before Bolden added another to restore the Jets’ lead minutes later.
Lauren Allan doubled their lead in the 81st minute with her first goal of the season, but Milivojevic’s second goal of the game and fifth of the season created a nervous finish for the Jets – who were able to hold firm and come away with three points.

MATCH REPORT: Reds bounce back from Sydney trouncing with with win over Western on the road
Adelaide United have notched a 3-1 win over Western United in Ballarat, responding in style to a hefty defeat to Sydney FC prior to the international break.
The Reds opened the scoring in the first half through Ben Halloran, but Western responded after the break, levelling the score through Lachlan Wales.
But Adelaide hit back in style, scoring twice through Alexandar Popovic and Luka Jovanovic in the 10 minutes that proceeded Western’s solitary goal to go 3-1 ahead, and ultimately, out of sight.
The result sent Adelaide above Brisbane Roar into third spot on the table, while Western’s fourth-consecutive defeat kept John Aloisi’s side planted to the foot of the table.

MATCH REPORT: Reds keeper stars as Roar end four-year wait for Suncorp Stadium return with a draw
Adelaide United goalkeeper Annalee Grove made a string of impressive saves to ensure her side came away from Suncorp Stadium with a point in a 1-1 draw with Brisbane Roar on Sunday evening.
The Reds did take a 1-0 lead early in the game with Mariah Lee converting from a slender angle, before Mia Corbin’s 38th-minute equaliser breaking Brisbane’s four-year wait for a Liberty A-League goal at Suncorp Stadium.
The special moment might have launched the Roar toward an important win at home if not for the excellent form of Grove in goal for the Reds whose repeat saves kept Adelaide on level terms until full-time.
