Cruel blow as 16-year-old A-Leagues sensation suffers season-ending injury

Catch all the highlights from an action packed round three of the Liberty A-League 2023-24.

Brisbane Roar have revealed that 16-year-old rising star Grace Kuilamu has sustained an ACL injury and will miss the remainder of the 2023-24 Liberty A-League campaign.

Kuilamu suffered the season-ending injury during training last week ahead of the third round of Liberty A-League action.

The Australian Under-17 representative signed her first scholarship contract with Brisbane in the off-season, receiving her first opportunity in the Liberty A-League after impressing Roar head coach Garrath McPherson at a Junior Matildas camp in South Korea.

Kuilamu made her Liberty A-League debut in Round 1, and got her name on the scoresheet in a 2-1 win over Melbourne Victory.

In doing so, she became Brisbane’s youngest-ever Liberty A-League goalscorer and third-youngest Roar player of all time.
