Lauren Keir won the NPL NSW Women’s Championship last month. Now she is eyeing the Liberty A-League title after joining Western Sydney Wanderers.
Canberra United favourite Keir arrives from the capital on a two-year deal heading into the 2022-23 A-League Women season.
Keir, who was part of the triumphant Macarthur Rams team in NPLW NSW, had spent the past five seasons with Canberra.
The 26-year-old defender made 34 appearances for Canberra, including 13 last season, scoring once.
“I knew it was time for a change and to continue to grow as a player both on and off the field,” said Keir.
“I heard really good things about the Wanderers and after talking to Kat (head coach Kat Smith) I knew it was the right decision for me.
“Coming off the back of winning the National Premier League Championship has made me come into pre-season hungry to win more silverware for my new club.
“I was to continue to grow as a player and help this team win the Championship!”

The Wanderers will begin their season with a clash against Newcastle Jets on November 26.
