Melbourne City goalkeeper Tom Glover is set to feature for the reigning premiers against Central Coast Mariners after emerging from concussion protocol.
Glover was left concussed and required stitches after he was struck by a fan with a bucket as Victory supporters spilled onto the AAMI Park field of play in shocking scenes at the Melbourne Derby on December 17.
The Isuzu UTE A-League Premiership and Championship-winning goalkeeper had initially been in concussion protocol, but Glover has resumed training and is in line to face the Mariners at AAMI Park on Tuesday.
“He missed a few training days due to concussion but has completed the last couple and will train again today,” City head coach Rado Vidosic.
He’s good to go.
Life-time bans and various suspensions have been issued to supporters after the Derby chaos in Round 8, while criminal charges have been laid against some.
