Saturday’s Liberty A-League clash between Western Sydney Wanderers and Newcastle Jets has been pushed back due the forecast of extreme heat.
The Wanderers-Jets showdown at Wanderers Football Park was slated to be part of the Dub Zone line-up at 3:00pm AEDT, however, it will now kick-off at 5:30pm AEDT because of warm weather in Sydney.
Western Sydney are ninth in the Liberty A-League standings – 11 points outside the top four, while Newcastle are a point further back in 10th spot.
The Jets are undefeated in their last four Liberty A-League matches against the Wanderers (W2, D2); it’s the longest unbeaten run by either team in the history of this fixture.
Western Sydney, meanwhile, are unbeaten in their last three games at Wanderers Football Park (W2, D1), having lost four straight games at the venue prior.
