ABOUT UNITE CUP
Unite Cup is a premier youth football tournament that brings together the future stars of the game. Hosted at Moore Park West, this three-day event features small-sided football matches across multiple age groups, from U8 to U12.
As part of the A-Leagues Unite Round, Unite Cup invites boys’ and girls’ teams from local, regional, and interstate clubs to showcase their talent and passion for the beautiful game. This fast-paced tournament is designed to highlight skill, teamwork, and the dynamic energy that youth football brings to the field.

Day 1: Friday 22 November, 2024 (Pool Rounds) from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Day 2: Saturday 23 November, 2024 (Pool Rounds + Semi Finals) from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

COST
There is no registration fee, because the event is by invitation only for local, regional and interstate teams supporting the visitation, growth and success of the A-Leagues Unite Round.
INCLUSIONS
- Competitive competition run by experienced referees. All teams will play at least four (4) matches across the three days and six (6) if successful in making the grand final;
- The winning team of each category will receive winners medals and a winners plate/trophy. The runners up will receive runners up medals;
- Participant to receive one complimentary pass to a Isuzu UTE A-League Men’s doubleheader Unite Round fixture
- Capture the moment with a photo opportunity alongside the prestigious Isuzu UTE A-League Men’s trophy.
- Rub shoulders with the Isuzu UTE A-League men during exclusive player appearances.
- Chance to be involved at the doubleheader match at Allianz Stadium with exclusive match day experiences, which may include:
- March past
- Player mascots
- Guard of honour
- Small sided football with McDonald’s halftime heroes

FAQs
Do I have to be a member of a club to register?
Registration is only open to clubs, teams or schools.
A team is composed of (10) players. Unfortunately we do not accept individual registrations for the Unite Cup.
How big are the fields?
The field size is 30m x 40m
How long do each of the matches go for?
Each match will be 25 minutes in duration with no interval and there will be an a 5 minute transition time between matches. Finals will be played for all age groups and categories.
Will the draw be published?
Draws will be confirmed no later than the week of the event. Team managers will be notified when it is available and it will be available on the website.
What is the finals structure?
The top teams from each division and category will progress to the semi final with the winners of each match progressing to the grand final for their age group and category.
Age Groups
All players must meet the age criteria of the competition in which they are playing. As the competition is being played in November, this refers to the division the player was eligible for and played in the winter 2024 season.
No player shall play in an age group other than the one they are qualified for, unless they have been granted dispensation by the event organisers.
Players cannot play for more than one team.
Do uniforms need to be numbered?
Numbers on jerseys are mandatory for teams.
What size footballs will be used?
Under 8’s, 9’s and 10’s will use size 3, and under 11’s and 12’s will use size 4
What is included in the team registration?
There is no team registration cost for all age groups and categories. Participation in the tournament is via expression of interest and invitational ONLY. Team registrations includes:
- Team entry into the competition run by experienced referees. All teams will play at least four [4] matches across the three days
- The winning team of each category will receive winners medals, a winners plate/trophy. The runners up will receive runners up medals.
- Participants will receive a complimentary general admission ticket to a Isuzu Ute A-League Men’s Unite Round fixtures
- Capture the moment with a photo opportunity alongside the prestigious Isuzu UTE A-League Men’s trophy.

What do I need to pack for my child?
- Players must wear shin pads and they must be covered by their socks.
- Boots to be worn. No metal studs are permitted.
- Their club kit
- A hat
- Sunscreen
- Snacks and lunch. There will be facilities available onsite for additional food and beverage purchases.
- Water bottle
- Individual medical supplies (EpiPen, Puffers etc).
Can parents stay and watch?
Yes, parents, family and friends are encouraged to stay and watch the matches.
Is there parking available onsite?
Parking in the Moore Park precinct is available under the current provisions:
- EP2 and EP3 – Public parking on event days only ($30 fee per car). Entry to EP2 (Lower Kippax) via Driver Ave off Moore Park Road and EP3 (Showground) via Driver Avenue off Lang Road. Please check the availability and status of the EP2 and EP3 car parks prior to attending events in the Moore Park precinct. Event-specific details including car park opening times are updated on Allianz Stadium event pages before each event.
- Entertainment Quarter Public parking (fees apply). Entry to the Entertainment Quarter parking via Lang Road.
- Moore Park Golf – $30 flat special event parking rate. Event parking commences 2.5-3 hours prior to the commencement of events at Allianz Stadium and/or the Sydney Cricket Ground. Parking takes place on the overflow grass car park adjacent to the Moore Park Golf Tennis Courts. Entry via Cleveland Street.
- Sydney Boys High School – Public parking for selected events only (fees apply). Entry to Sydney Boys High School via Cleveland Street
- Sydney Girls High School – Public parking for selected events only (fees apply). Entry to Sydney Girls High School via Anzac Parade and Cleveland Street.
NOTE: Parking at all sites is limited and Special Event Clearways may be in force for surrounding areas.
All car parks have areas reserved for patrons with disabilities.
If you are planning on driving plan ahead and allow plenty of extra travel time.

Do all the staff have Working with Children Checks?
Yes, staff and supervisors have current and valid NSW Working with Children Checks.
What do I need to do if my child has a medical condition or any allergies?
Clubs, teams and school participants will be under the supervision of their managers and teachers. There will be medical providers onsite to provide first aid and medical support.
What happens if my child gets sick or injured during the tournament?
Where required, first aid will be administered for minor injuries to the child and ensure that they are fit to return to play. If the child is not fit to return to play, they will be under the responsibility of their manager or teacher. In the event that the issue is serious, Emergency attention will be sought immediately and the manager or teacher shall inform the parent/guardian as soon as possible.
A-Leagues does not have in place any personal accident insurance for this event that would provide the participant with any compensation or benefit in the event of any participant injury.
If your team plays for a club under Football NSW or any other association, your club can contact them to be sanctioned under their insurance policy.
Does the event still take place in extreme weather?
Event organisers will aim to make a decision the night prior by 18:00 as to whether the tournament will proceed the next day due to extreme weather or field closure.
If the event is unable to take place, the event will be cancelled and not rescheduled.
When do I receive my complimentary ticket to a Isuzu Ute Men’s A-Leagues Unite Round match?
One digital ticket will be provided to each participant to be used at any match across Unite Round at Allianz Stadium. A unique link will be distributed to each participant to redeem their free ticket prior to the commencement/or on the first day of the Unite Cup.
