Brisbane Roar sensation Waddingham made it two goals in two games with his 18th-minute strike as the Young Socceroos’ starting XI included six A-Leagues-based players – Waddingham, Zach Lisolajski (Western United), Fabian Talladira (Adelaide United), Alexander Badolato (Western Sydney Wanderers), Joshua Inserra (Melbourne Victory) and Franco Lino (Melbourne Victory).
Waddingham has emerged as the player to watch for the Roar this Isuzu UTE A-League season after playing a starring role in Brisbane’s run to the Australia Cup final.

The 18-year-old scored his fourth Australia Cup goal in as many games at Allianz Stadium on October 7, becoming the youngest cup final scorer since the tournament recommenced in 2014.
He opened the scoring against the Danes, who equalised four minutes before half-time.
Denmark hit the front within three minutes of the second half start and they appeared on track for a win until Central Coast Mariners youngster Brandtman struck three minutes from the end.
Brandtman scored against France in the team’s tournament opener the Mariners youth player found the back of the net again midweek.
