Dear fellow football fanatics,
Let me tell you about the season that was magic,
A year of entertaining rewards,
A year of mind-blowing records,
It all started with seven unique teams,
Who all had big dreams,
To make history,
Who was going to win was a mystery
Sydney FC covered in Sky Blue,
Had a perfect view,
Scored 11 goals in one game,
This team definitely wanted to claim,
A piece of silverware
The Brisbane Roar were in their way,
With some great football play,
A player by the name of Super Sub Gielnik,
She was a scoring freak,
Gave everyone a nightmare,
But out of no-where,
Flying in the air,
With some attacking flair
Were the Newcastle Jets,
Who had Babieri in the nets
And Devanna who was a massive threat
Perth Glory,
They had their own story,
Full of ups and downs,
They stuck and cracked-down
Through thick and thin,
They still gave entertaining wins
Lady Reds,
Wanted action,
And needed some inspiration,
The day came when they won,
Everyone was stun,
We gave them a cheer,
But this was definitely not their year
Down south the Melbourne Victory,
Didn’t want to leave empty,
They played with their heart on their sleeves,
And made all the crowds pleased,
With the likes of jodie taylor
Who had hat-trick flavour
The biggest surprise was Canberra United,
They stormed on the field,
And made a RECORD BREAKING crowd squeal,
Their golden boot Heyman,
Brought them all the way-man
GRAND FINAL DAY,
The green machines went all the way
They beat the roar in a massive football blow,
Just like shipard’s beautiful mo
The undeafeated w-league premiers celebrate another fantastic football year
Let-s give everyone a massive cheer,
The players who played this divine sport,
All the fans who gave their unter-most support,
And lastly Girls FC, who are legends for always giving the football fanatics every update we needed!
Can’t wait for next season,
Where more records will be beaten,
W-league forever, football forever!
