Westfield W-League Season 2020/21 Fixtures: Perth Glory

There were shoots of growth in a transitional season for Perth Glory in 2019/20 and now the club are turning a new leaf with the appointment of head coach Alex Epakis.

The former Sydney FC and Canberra United coach has moved west to fill the sizeable boots of Bobby Despotovski and he is set to inherit a youthful squad filled with promise and endeavour.

Club captain Natasha Rigby, Sarah Carroll and Caitlin Douglas are back to add stability after Glory’s strong finish to the 2019/20 saw them win three of their last four matches, including a 2-1 away win against Sydney FC.

But, with the competition expected to be wide open in 2020/21, the ex-Sydney University boss Epakis will likely aim to stamp his own mark on the one-time Premiers in an attempt to take his side to the next level.
