Westfield W-League Round 3 Preview

All the In’s and Out’s for this weekend’s round 3.

Round 3 Preview

This is the official FFA preview for Westfield W-League (WWL) Round 3.

Westfield women deliver spectacular hat trick

With only two rounds complete, the women of the Westfield W-League have already impressed spectators with a hat trick.

Adelaide United-s Sandra Scalzi scored the first hat-trick of the Westfield W-League last weekend, scoring in the 11th, 46th and 50th minutes of Adelaide United-s 3-2 win over Newcastle Jets.

But did you know that it was Scalzi-s Adelaide United teammate, Sharon Black, who scored the first ever hat trick in a national women-s league competition? Brown achieved her hat trick playing for South Australia in the former national women-s league in round 1 of the 1996-97 season against Victoria.
