Grand final spots are on the line as Canberra United host Brisbane Roar in a meeting of two of the league-s powerhouses on Saturday, while Sunday has Sydney FC hosting Melbourne Victory in a rematch of last season-s decider.
A high-quality contest is assured with internationals littered throughout the two line-ups including the league-s all-time scorer Michelle Heyman and USA international midfielder Lori Lindsey for Canberra, with the Roar fielding with likes of Matildas- stars Tameka Butt and Elise Kellond-Knight
The two teams have shared a win apiece this season but it is Canberra that enter the contest as the form side.
Canberra won the premiership on Sunday after edging Sydney FC 2-1 in an enthralling encounter as the capital club leapfrogged their rivals on the final day of the regular season.
Brisbane in contrast have a had a mixed period since the mid-season break, but ended the 12-match regular season with a 1-0 win over fellow finalists Melbourne Victory.
Sunday-s televised action will see Sydney FC aiming to bounce back from their disappointment of last weekend by securing a fourth grand final appearance at Melbourne Victory-s expense.
Though the Victory have now lost two on the trot, they had the better of a 1-1 draw when the pair last met two months ago.
Catch the action on Saturday and Sunday at 6pm nationally on ABC1 with an hour-long highlights program, or catch up from Monday on ABC iView with a replay at 3.30am on Thursday.
