Western United midfielder Rhys Bozinovski has signed a two-year contract extension with the Isuzu UTE A-League side.
Bozinovski’s new deal at Ironbark Fields will ensure the Subway Olyroos midfielder remains in the Green and Black until the end of the 2026-27 campaign.
The third-youngest debutant in Western’s history, it comes after the 20-year-old’s impressive PacificAus Sports Football Series with Tony Vidmar’s Olyroos.

Bozinovski, who debuted for Western in 2022, scored one goal and set up two others as Australia’s Under-23 side registered 3-0 and 4-0 wins over Vanuatu’s senior men’s team.
“I’m extremely pleased to re-sign with the club for a few more years. It feels like home at Western, so it was a no brainer,” said Bozinovski, who scored for the Olyroos on Sunday.
“It’s been a long journey starting in the youth team and it’s been a privilege to break into the first team and also get many national team call-ups as well.
“This season I feel more established and ready to go, and I feel very excited to play in front of all the fans at Ironbark Fields. It’s been a good pre-season and I can’t wait to give everything for the club.”
Since his debut two years ago, Bozinovski has played 25 matches for John Aloisi’s Western.
Bozinovski made 10 substitute appearances last season, while he started the Australia Cup play-off loss to Newcastle Jets in July.

“Rhys has worked his way through our pathway and is ready to take the next step. I am delighted that he has extended his stay for a further two seasons,” said general manager of football Mal Impiombato.
“In the three years he has been at our club, we have watched Rhys represent Australia, make his professional debut, win a Championship and become an important part of our current squad.
“The future is certainly bright for Rhys and we are incredibly enthusiastic about his potential. I am looking forward to seeing him continue to push himself and become a key leader in our community, both on and off the pitch.”
