Wellington Phoenix forward Michaela Robertson has announced she will be taking a break from football.
The Phoenix forward will not return to Wellington for the 2024-25 Ninja A-League season.
Robertson has scored four goals in 25 appearances since joining the Phoenix in 2022-23.
Last season, the 28-year-old scored three goals across the last five matches of the campaign.

“Taking a break this season has been a tough decision to make,” Robertson said. “But one I believe is right for me at this time.
“I want to express my gratitude to Wellington Phoenix for the past two seasons. I’ve been both challenged and strengthened, growing as a player and a person, and have gained far more than I could have anticipated.
“I’d also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible fans and supporters – the ones who fill the stands, sing their hearts out, volunteer their time, and show up no matter what. You fuel the Phoenix flames. It has been an honour playing in front of you and hearing about some of your dreams of playing for the Phoenix one day.
“I’m excited to continue supporting the team from the sidelines and look forward to standing with you all to cheer the girls on this season.”
