Wellington Phoenix teenager Pia Vlok became the club’s youngest-ever Ninja A-League goalscorer in a 1-0 win over Melbourne Victory at Porirua Park on Sunday afternoon.
At 17 years and 80 days, Vlok broke the record set by Milly Clegg in 2023 (17 years, 81 days) by just one day; the teenager’s first-half goal was the difference as Wellington defeated Victory for the very first time in Ninja A-League history to climb from 11th up to 5th on the table.
