The Western Sydney Wanderers have defeated Edgeworth FC 3-1 in a behind-closed-doors match last night.
Western Sydney Wanderers continued their pre-season preparations with a 3-1 victory over Edgeworth at Pluim Park last night.
Roly Bonevacia, Bruce Kamau and Abraham Majok got on the scoresheet for Wanderers in the well-contested hit-out in Sydney’s west.

The Red & Black dominated the match against the Northern NSW NPL leaders from outset and opened the scoring through Bonevacia who fired from 12-yards out after the ball broke for him from a blocked cross.
Edgeworth pulled one back early in the second half to level the scores, but the Wanderers continued their dominance with some great chances to get back in front.
With 10 minutes to go, the Red & Black’s persistence paid off with Kamau volleying home a shot off the post after a fantastic cross from Raul Llorente.

Majok then gave the Wanderers a two-goal buffer shortly after, scoring a rebound off his own saved shot.
The Wanderers first competitive fixture of the season will be on Tuesday 7 August against Hellenic AC at Darwin Football Centre in the FFA Cup Round of 32.
