Melbourne Victory have confirmed that Grant Brebner has been appointed the club’s new assistant coach to Carlos Salvachua.
Brebner, who has been working with the club’s U17 and U18 academy teams, takes on the role for the remainder of the Hyundai A-League 2019/20 Season.
“It’s fantastic to be working alongside Carlos and the current football department as we look to improve our position over the second half of this season,” Brebner told Victory’s official website.
“Helping players improve and achieve their potential is extremely rewarding, and I’m really enjoying working with the squad.
“They’re an extremely driven group who want to improve and make their members and fans proud.

“While we know we have some hard work ahead of us in order to improve our standing in the competition this season, the players are adapting really well to the way we want to play and focused on executing our attacking brand of football.”
Brebner, 42, has been coaching Victory’s youth teams for the last five years.
He played four seasons with Victory in the Hyundai A-League, amassing 120 games and was part of title-winning squads in the 2007/07 and 2008/09 seasons.
