Perth Glory coach Kenny Lowe has heaped praise on his side for an “untouchable” last half hour in Saturday’s entertaining 3-3 draw with Wellington Phoenix in Auckland.
The visitors were forced to fight from 3-1 down to claim a point at QBE Stadium courtesy of second-half goals from Adam Taggart and Diego Castro.

“I think we showed a lot of character, dominated the game, had chance after chance. Should have actually won,” Lowe said.
“For 20 minutes (Wellington) were good value, we probably didn’t match them as much as we should.
“But after that it was us.
“For 70 minutes we were just the better side. And we were untouchable in the last 30.”
The point means Perth have now only been beaten once in 11 matches as their bid for a home final continues to gather pace.
With only six rounds remaining in the regular season, Lowe is still refusing to look beyond next weekend’s trip to Melbourne Victory.
“You can’t get carried away. In such a tight league things can change,” he said.
“If you start looking six games ahead, you can find you’re six games behind.”
