What’s new with Unite Round this year? Five things you need to know
New dates for Unite Round
Mark your calendars! This season, Unite Round will take place between Friday, November 22 and Sunday, November 24.
This is a change from the first edition of Unite Round in 2023-24, which took place in mid-January.
Two leagues, two venues
Last season, Unite Round fixtures from both the Liberty A-League Women and Isuzu UTE A-League Men were spread across three venues: Leichhardt Oval, CommBank Stadium and Allianz Stadium.
But this time around, only Leichhardt Oval and Allianz Stadium will be used throughout Unite Round – and each venue will be used exclusively by one league for all six of the competition’s Unite Round fixtures.
Allianz Stadium will host the six Isuzu UTE A-League Men games throughout the weekend, and Leichhardt Oval will be used for the six Liberty A-League Women fixtures planned for Unite Round.
The six games from each league will be split into three double-headers at each venue on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of Unite Round.

More clubs than ever before due to Auckland’s arrival
There’s a new A-Leagues club in 2024-25 after Auckland FC’s inception.
The Black Knights have joined the Isuzu UTE A-League Men for the upcoming season, and will take place in Unite Round for the very first time with an away game against Macarthur FC pencilled in for Sunday, November 24 at Allianz Stadium.
Auckland’s arrival has expanded the Isuzu UTE A-League Men to a 13-team competition. Due to the uneven number of teams in the league this season, one club must serve a bye each weekend and in Unite Round the bye fell to Melbourne City – a decision reached by APL after considering several factors when building the Isuzu UTE A-League fixture for 2024-25.
Melbourne City will take part in Unite Round in the Liberty A-League Women, with the league’s reigning Premiers set to face Sydney FC in a Grand Final rematch on Sunday evening at Leichhardt Oval.
