A-Leagues Unite Round is officially BACK for a second season, with teams from both the Isuzu UTE A-League Men and Liberty A-League Women taking part in a special round across Sydney this November.
Unite Round was introduced for the 2023-24 season as part of a partnership between the Australian Professional Leagues and Destination NSW, seeing the A-Leagues stage the first full men’s and women’s round in a single city of any Australian sporting code.

After a successful debut, the concept is back for season 2024-25.
Here’s everything you need to know about the second iteration of the A-Leagues’ ultimate away day...
Unite Round will be held in Sydney between November 22 and 24, and feature 12 games: six in the Liberty A-League Women, and six in the Isuzu UTE A-league Men.
Leichhardt Oval will stage the six Liberty A-League Unite Round fixtures, while the men’s action will all take place at Allianz Stadium.
In both competitions, there’ll be two games on Friday, two on Saturday and two on Sunday over the weekend of November 22-24.
The Liberty A-League Women Unite Round schedule is headlined by a Grand Final rematch between Sydney FC and Melbourne City on Sunday, November 24, while a historically high-scoring fixture between Canberra United and Perth Glory also features on the agenda.
In the Isuzu UTE A-League, there are two huge derbies set to take place across Unite Round.

On Friday, November 22, Newcastle Jets take on Central Coast Mariners in an F3 Derby bout and the following evening Allianz Stadium will host a Sydney Derby between Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers.
Auckland FC has been introduced to the Isuzu UTE A-League ahead of season 2024-25 and the league’s newest club is set to take on Macarthur FC in Unite Round on Sunday, November 24.
Due to the uneven number of teams in the league this season, one club must serve a bye each weekend and in Unite Round the bye fell to Melbourne City – a decision reached by APL after considering several factors when building the Isuzu UTE A-League fixture for 2024-25.
In an added boost, all Full Season Club Members will gain free access to their club’s Isuzu UTE A-League Men and Liberty A-League Women double-header matches. Tickets are set to go on sale in August, with details on what and how each home and away club member can access tickets to be released shortly.
It has also been confirmed that grassroots activity will take place across Unite Round 2024/25, with the Girls Unite Gala Days returning to Leichhardt Oval, along with schools and grassroots activities in the Moore Park area close to Allianz Stadium. More details are set to be shared on these events in the coming weeks.
Commenting on Unite Round 2024/25, A-Leagues Commissioner Nick Garcia said: “We’ve taken on board feedback from fans, clubs and partners and have made a few changes to make Unite Round 2024/25 bigger and better.
“Marquee match-ups will headline each day across two distinct hubs; Leichhardt Oval for all six Liberty A-League Women fixtures, and Allianz Stadium for the Isuzu UTE A-League Men. We’ve also ensured clubs’ men’s and women’s teams play on different days to make it easier for fans to attend both matches of their favourite clubs, while a longer lead time will give fans more opportunity to plan their travel to Sydney.
“We’re currently busy working through details of the supporting events and grassroots activities to add to the overall fan experience, as well as working with clubs on special ticket deals for club members. We’ll be announcing these in collaboration with clubs, including dates for tickets on sale, in the coming weeks.”
A-Leagues Unite Round 2024/25 is supported by the NSW Government through its tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW. Minister for Jobs and Tourism, John Graham said: “The inaugural A-Leagues Unite Round created history as the first sporting code in Australia to celebrate a full men’s and women’s round in a single city.
“I’m pleased to hear about the program changes that ensure A-League women and men’s clubs play on different days, so fans can watch both matches from their clubs. As the nation’s home of football, we look forward to welcoming Australia’s football family to Sydney for a true celebration of the world game.”

Last season’s Unite Round fixtures took place across three venues whereas this season, all Isuzu UTE A-League fixtures will take place at one venue, Allianz Stadium, and all Liberty A-League fixtures will take place at Leichhardt Oval.
What to look forward to this season?
If the first edition of Unite Round was any indication of what to expect the second time around, fans who attend the A-Leagues’ ultimate away day in November are in for a treat.
Last season’s Unite Round had it all; in the Isuzu UTE A-League there was a 4-3 win for Adelaide United over Sydney FC, a breathtaking 3-3 draw between Macarthur FC and Western United, another 4-3 result in favour of Wellington Phoenix over Perth Glory and a 3-2 win for Brisbane Roar over Newcastle Jets.
Adelaide’s Hiroshi Ibusuki scored a hat-trick in the Reds’ slender win over Sydney FC in the seven-goal thriller at Allianz Stadium, while Western United’s Daniel Penha produced an iconic goal celebration in his side’s draw with the Bulls.
Perth may have lost 4-3 to Wellington, but Aleksandar Šuśnjar produced a moment to savour for the Glory fans at CommBank Stadium with a long-range bomb that contended for Goal of the Season honours.
In the Liberty A-League, fans who attended Leichhardt Oval for Canberra United’s clash with Adelaide United witnessed the historic moment Michelle Heyman became the first player in the competition’s history to score 100 goals.
The iconic goal will forever live in the memories of the fans in attendance as the legendary Canberra and Matildas striker broke new ground for women’s football in Australia.
