Melbourne Victory coach Kevin Muscat believes James Troisi still has new levels to reach after the midfielder orchestrated Saturday night’s 2-1 win over Adelaide United.
Troisi continued his excellent form with another influential display at AAMI Park in front of Caltex Socceroos boss Ange Postecoglou.

As the 28-year-old nears a return to the national team fold, his club mentor is confident there’s still plenty more to come.
“You’ve got to take into consideration a lot of factors,” Muscat told Fox Sports.
“Not only did he have an interrupted (start to the) season when he did his collarbone early on, after such a good pre-season, you’ve also got to look back a little bit further than that.
“In the last 18 months to two years, the amount of football he has played and the intensity he has been playing at … I’m adamant the best is still yet to come from James.”
Troisi could well have added to his tally of five goals for the season, although it mattered little to Victory as both Marco Rojas and Besart Berisha notched classy finishes.
The 28-time international believes himself to be nearing top form at a crucial part of his club’s campaign.
“I’m feeling good. I’m hitting my stride and it’s the part of the season where you want to (be at your best),” Troisi said.
“Happy (with my performance) and most importantly another three points.”
