The Cahill name is back in the A-Leagues!
Brisbane Roar have signed 18-year-old Shae Cahill, son of Socceroos great Tim Cahill, from English club Everton on a multi-year agreement.
The teenage midfielder joins the club after four years of football in England, rising through the academy ranks of the club where his father became a legend before deciding to return to Australia and join the Roar ahead of the 2023-24 Isuzu UTE A-League season.

Shae Cahill played nine times for Everton’s U18 side last season, registering three assists.
He’s the son of arguably the greatest Socceroo of all time, who earned that reputation across a two-decade career, collecting 108 international caps and scoring 189 goals in 651 career games.
Brisbane have labelled Shae Cahill’s arrival as a signal of an exciting era ahead for the club.
“We are pleased to announce the signing of Shae Cahill from Everton’s world class academy to the Brisbane Roar,” said Roar CEO Kaz Patafta.
“Securing such a promising young midfielder is a testament to our club’s new vision of integrating youthful talent into our squad and first team environment. Shae’s addition promises an exciting era ahead for the Roar family.”
