To our fans,
We got there.
The days after the Grand Final, the end of a season like no other, offers the chance to relax, to reflect, and to enjoy the fact that the A-League’s 16th season is complete.
Melbourne City are deserved champions, the celebrations are ongoing, but across the leagues clubs are already starting to put in place the plans, the players and the coaches for next season in the A-League and Westfield W-League.
Before all of that, though, there is one important message we want to say, and it’s a really straightforward one – thank you, for every bit of support and encouragement you gave your team, and the leagues, these past few months.
As we have said many times, football without fans is no fun. When the Australian Professional Leagues gained independence on the last day of last year, we promised to put you the fans at the centre of everything we do.
So hold us to that over the next few months. We plan to have a busy off season building the sort of future for the game that we all want to see, and part of it will be listening to what the fans tell us is good and bad about the game.
In the meantime, though, thank you again, for your support of the A-League and Westfield W-League. We hope you enjoyed that brilliant season, and we can’t wait to do it all again later in the year.
