Adelaide United have announced the signing of twin sisters and central midfielders Adriana and Melissa Taranto ahead of the Ninja A-League 2025-26 season.
The 26-year-olds arrive at the club after three-year stints at Western United, where Melissa and Adriana racked up 61 and 55 Ninja A-League appearances respectively to feature among the club’s greatest all-time appearance makers.

The Taranto twins have committed to Adelaide for the 2025-26 campaign following the announcement Western United’s Club Participation Agreement (CPA) has been placed in conditional hibernation for the upcoming campaign.
Both Melissa and Adriana began their careers at Melbourne Victory in 2015, and have represented Australia at youth international level. In July, Adriana made her senior Matildas debut against Panama in Bunbury, Western Australia.
Now, the midfielders are set continue their careers alongside one another at the Reds.
