Young Matilda pens first professional contract with Brisbane Roar: Details

Brisbane Roar have added CommBank Young Matildas forward Tanaye Morris to the club’s Liberty A-League ranks ahead of the 2024-25 season.

The 20-year-old has joined the Roar from Adelaide University Soccer Club (AUSC) on her first professional contract; Morris made 60 appearances and scored 30 goals for her NPLW SA club, and scored 30 goals – including 16 in the 2021 NPLW SA season.

On debut with the Young Matildas in July, Morris scored Australia’s only goal in a 1-1 draw with New Zealand at the AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup, and will feature in the U20 squad set to take place in the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia in September.

Morris is the fifth new arrival at the Roar ahead of the 2024-25 Liberty A-League season, along with Danelle Tan, Zara Kruger, Evdokia Popadinova and Emily Pringle.
