Western Sydney Wanderers have signed 19-year-old attacker Talia Kapetanellis ahead of the 2024-25 Ninja A-League season.
Kapetanellis, who was previously signed by the Wanderers on a youth development agreement, has signed her first professional deal with the club after a stint at NPLW NSW side Sydney University.
The forward says her Ninja A-League contract was earned off hard work and persistence as she joins head coach Robbie Hooker’s squad for the 2024-25 campaign.

“I’ve worked hard over the past year to get to where I am and am very proud to have signed, but I know that is only the beginning,” Kapetanellis said.
“I want to make my debut but know I will have to work hard for the opportunity and continue to work hard to prove that I am ready to represent the club,” said Kapetanellis.
“I just want to keep consistent throughout the season in my work and my effort, and hopefully contributing towards getting the girls and the team into the finals for this season.”

Kapetanellis joins Milly Bennett (scholarship contract) and Sienna Saveska as the third off-season arrival at the Wanderers.
“Talia is a player you can always rely on to put in that little bit extra in everything she does, and that is a trait that is very valuable in a young player,” said Wanderers head coach Hooker.
“It is our intention at Western Sydney Wanderers to invest in the future of our club, and to be a club that gives opportunities to promising young players. Talia is a great example of one of these players, and I am expecting for her to make a big impact as she joins our attacking lineup.”
