Panama international Riley Tanner scored and assisted her first goals in Sydney FC colours as the Sky Blues downed Perth Glory 2-0 at Leichhardt Oval on Saturday afternoon.
The result extended Sydney’s unbeaten run against Perth to nine games – a streak dating back 2,093 days to February 22, 2020 when Glory last beat Sydney in the Ninja A-League.

After the restart, Tanner went from provider to goalscorer with a driven left-footed shot into the bottom-right corner as Sydney clinched all three points at home.
Glory bossed possession and had more shots on goal than the Sky Blues but couldn’t find a breakthrough, falling to a second-straight defeat after a Round 1 win over Western Sydney Wanderers.
For the Sky Blues, Saturday’s win came after back-to-back draws as Ante Juric’s side kept their unbeaten start to 2025-26 rolling.
