Sydney FC boss Graham Arnold has warned league-leaders Melbourne City he will expose what he’s seen as flaws in Friday night’s blockbuster clash at AAMI Park.
High-flying City have won all four matches and conceded only a single goal to sit two points clear of the second-placed Sky Blues.
Arnold is confident the champions know how to unlock Warren Joyce’s men, despite needing 23 shots to put away Perth Glory last weekend.
“We know how strong our attack is and we know we will get that right on Friday night and we will execute,” Arnold said.
“We will finish our chances. That will happen.
“We’re in great shape and we’ve analysed them well. We see some weaknesses and we will expose them.”
One man who could make the difference is Polish playmaker Adrian Mierzejewski, who scored his first Hyundai A-League goal from the penalty spot in the win over Perth.
Arnold expects the 30-year-old to soon recapture his starting place after returning from a hamstring injury via the bench.
“He’s in great shape and we expect him to get better and better as the season goes on,” the manager said.
“He can play in many positions on the frontline and we know he’s got a lot left in him.”
