Perth Glory have today confirmed the re-signing of experienced trio Liam Reddy, Shane Lowry and Alex Grant to new Hyundai A-League deals.
Reddy played his 250th Hyundai A-League game in one of 26 appearances for Glory last term and is delighted at the prospect of spending what will be his third campaign in the West.
“I’m very happy to have re-signed. My family are very settled and happy over here,” Reddy said.
“It’s a great football club and I’m looking forward to helping us chase some silverware next year.”
Grant, meanwhile, is now poised for another two seasons in the famous purple having debuted for the club back in 2015.
The versatile 24-year-old, who chalked up his 50th A-League appearance in the Round 25 clash with Sydney FC, is confident that Glory can improve on their performances this year.
“I’m delighted to be back on board,” Grant said.
“Obviously we weren’t happy with our performance as a team over the course of last season, but I’m sure we’ll come back stronger for it. I just want to play my part in giving our fans the success they want and deserve.”
Having also debuted in 2015, vice-captain Lowry is closing in on his own 50th game for Glory and is pleased to commit to his hometown club.
“I’m very happy to extending my time here and am excited to see what that future holds,” Lowry said.
“As a Perth boy, playing for Glory really means a lot to me and I appreciate all the support that the members and fans have given me since I arrived.”
Outgoing Glory CEO Peter Filopoulos was delighted to secure the trio and said there will be more signings to follow in the coming weeks.
“Liam, Alex and Shane have been key figures for us in recent seasons and we were therefore very keen to secure their services once again,” Filopoulos said.
“As well as being among the league’s best performers in their respective positions, they are great characters and exactly the kind of people we need around the place as we look to drive the club forward.
“I’m sure they’ll each make a significant contribution to what we are all confident will be a better season next year.
“We’ll be making further player announcements in the very near future.”
