Western Sydney Wanderers have secured the services of experienced Scottish midfielder Graham Dorrans on a two-year deal.
Dorrans, 33, brings vast footballing experience to Wanderland earned from an extensive career in English and Scottish football.
Stints in England’s Premier League and Championship with both Norwich and West Bromwich Albion preceded spells with Scottish Premiership side Rangers and Scottish Championship outfit Dundee FC, who he departs to join the Red and Black.
Dorrans has accrued nearly 400 games for both club and country throughout his career playing in the UK, and as he descends on Wanderland he says he’s excited to link up with the Red and Black and play in a new league he’s always kept tabs on from afar.
“I’m delighted to be coming over and grateful for the opportunity to play for the club,” Dorrans told the club website.
“After speaking with the manager (Carl Robinson) and hearing the vision he has for the club and the way he wants to play I think it’s a brand of football that really suits my game.
“It’s a league I have watched from a distance and really enjoyed watching it so I’m looking forward to getting over and starting as soon as I can.”
