Queensland Roar have received a big boost to their Westfield W-League campaign with WOW Sight & Sound and Sony announced as the shirt sponsors of the team for the remainder of the season.

Both companies already sponsor Queensland Roar-s A-League and National Youth League teams and will extend their partnership with the club to cover the women-s team.

Football Queensland chief executive Geoff Foster said the deal would help greatly with the running costs of the team.

“We-re delighted to have such reputable brands associated with the team,” Mr Foster said.

“WOW Sight & Sound and Sony are exciting and dynamic companies and a perfect match for our team, our organisation and the W-League competition.

“As well as the obvious off-field benefits, the partnership will ultimately help Queensland Roar Women in their quest to win the inaugural W-League title.”

WOW Sight & Sound advertising and marketing manager John Karibalis said the companies were proud to offer support.

“Women-s football is a huge growth sport in this country and on behalf of WOW Sight & Sound and Sony I would like to express my excitement at getting involved.

“On the back of our support for Queensland Roar-s A-League and National Youth League teams, this deal cements our partnership with the club and promises to bring benefits to all parties.”

The WOW Sight & Sound and Sony logos will appear on the front of the Queensland Roar W-League shirt from tomorrow-s match against the Central Coast Mariners in Campbelltown.
