Berisha and his family were officially welcomed as Australian citizens in a ceremony earlier this week and the veteran striker took to Instagram to share the news.

The 33-year old arrived in the Hyundai A-League in 2011, becoming a lethal part of Ange Postecoglou’s successful reign at Brisbane Roar.

In 2014, after firing the Roar to another Championship, he moved south to Melbourne Victory where he continued to terrify defences, winning another two Grand Finals in the process.

Upon moving to J-League club Sanfrecce Hiroshima, Berisha had become the Hyundai A-League’s all-time leading goalscorer with 116 strikes.
