Professional Footballers Australia (the PFA) has unveiled the Isuzu UTE A-League Men Team of the Second Decade.
Adelaide United legend and Socceroo Craig Goodwin, back at the Reds this season, is among seven current greats in a team chosen exclusively by PFA members – past and present A-League Men players.
To be eligible, players must have featured in at least two Isuzu UTE A-League seasons
between 2015 and 2025, with a starting XI in a 4-3-3 formation, seven
substitutes, a coach, and a referee.
Led by Auckland FC head coach and A-Leagues legend Steve Corica, there are five other current greats in the Team of the Second Decade – Sydney FC icon Rhyan Grant, current Western Sydney Wanderers star Kosta Barbarouses, who also starred for Melbourne Victory, Sydney FC and Wellington Phoenix in the past decade. Macarthur Bulls champion Luke Brattan joins Goodwin in the line-up, while Melbourne City captain Aziz Behich and Socceroo Anthony Caceres are on the bench.

The team also features fellow greats in all-time leading Isuzu UTE A-League goalscorer Jamie Maclaren, former Perth Glory Diego Castro attacker, Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers icon Milos Ninkovic, Melbourne City favourite and current assistant Scott Jamieson, ex-Sydney FC defender Alex Wilkinson, former City centre-back Curtis Good and retired Central Coast Mariners goalkeeper Danny Vukovic.
Among the substitutes are cult hero Besart Berisha, recently retired Socceroo Bruno Fornaroli, Adelaide legend Isaias, Championship-winning goalkeeper Jamie Young and Nikolai Topor-Stanley, with Alex King the referee.
Berisha was also named in the first Team of the Decade, spanning 2005-15, along with Corica – who was playing at the time.
“Being picked for the team of the decade is such an incredible honour,” said Wilkinson, who has been named captain.
“To be recognised in this way is very special, not only because it’s voted on by fellow professionals, but because it reflects consistency over a long period of time.
“It’s incredible to be included alongside so many wonderful players, many of whom are among the best our league has ever seen.
“To also be named captain makes this recognition even more special, and it’s an honour I take a huge amount of pride in.”

PFA Chief Executive Beau Busch added: “This team reflects not only individual excellence but the collective contribution of players to building and shaping the A-League Men competition.
“Being selected by your peers is the highest form of recognition in our game, and this line-up represents the consistency, professionalism and quality that have driven the league forward over the past ten years.
“The PFA is proud to celebrate these players and the enormous role they have played in inspiring fans, setting standards, and creating lasting memories for Australian football.
“We owe it to these players to create a future for the A-League that builds on their incredible contributions and legacy.”
