Four straight defeats has Western Sydney Wanderers falling down the Hyundai A-League ladder so a trip across the country to take on the defending premiers is far from ideal.
After starting the campaign with three wins and a draw to sit at the top of the pile, Markus Babbel’s men will find themselves out of the top six if they fail to beat Perth Glory at HBF Park on Saturday night.
And it won’t be easy against a Glory side they haven’t beaten in their last five clashes.
Tony Popovic’s Perth turned their season around last weekend, defeating Melbourne City 3-0 at AAMI Park.
But home form has been a concern for Glory, who have lost their last two matches in a row at HBF Park. The last time they lost more in a row was a three-game stretch from January to February in 2011.
