Perth Glory have confirmed eight players have signed contract extensions with the club ahead of the 2024-25 Isuzu UTE A-League season.
Veteran striker David Williams has recommitted to the club after a five-goal campaign in 2023-24; he’s joined by Trent Ostler, Kaelan Majekodunmi, Jarrod Carluccio and Riley Warland in signing senior contract extensions while young duo Andriano Lebib and Khoa Ngo both put pen to paper on their first scholarship contracts.
Jaylan Pearman, meanwhile, signed a scholarship extension.
Glory Football Director Stan Lazaridis praised the eight players for committing their futures to the club.
“Our new-look squad is really starting to take shape and these guys will form a key part of it,” he said.
“They’re all extremely motivated to make a major contribution on and off the pitch and help drive the club forward.”
Williams, described by Lazaridis as “technically one of the most gifted players that the A-League has seen”, will remain an impact player for the club, says Lazaridis, having done plenty of damage off the bench in 2023-24.
The 36-year-old is the most experienced player among the eight players confirmed to have signed on with the club on Tuesday, June 4; Lazaridis also gave high praise to one of the youngest, Khoa Ngo, who made two bench appearances for Glory late in the season at the age of 17.
“Khoa is someone who will puts bums on seats,” Lazaridis said.
“He’s a little excitement machine, he’s very likeable as a character, he’s brave and strong and he’s not afraid to take players on.
“He can play on either wing or up front off a striker and is definitely someone who is going to excite the Members and fans.
“Khoa is another one who came through our academy, we’re delighted he’s signed and we expect him to see some game-time this season.”
Glory now have 19 players contracted for the 2024-25 Isuzu UTE A-League season, while negotiations continue with a number of first-team squad members.
