Melbourne Victory star Marco Rojas’ brilliant all-round display against Adelaide United has earned him Round 21’s Performer of the Round, powered by Opta.
In a season of excellent performances from the Kiwi international, he was outstanding against the Reds and was a standout performer based on Opta Data’s stats.
With scores level heading into the final quarter of the match, Rojas turned the game in Victory’s favour in stunning fashion as h curled a pinpoint free-kick into the top corner to open the scoring.
Soon after it was his driving run and pass which set up Victory’s match-sealing goal for Besart Berisha.
It was the fifth time he’d scored and assisted a goal in a single game this season, twice more than any other player (Nicolas Martinez, James Troisi, both 3).
