The independent Match Review Panel convened on Monday to consider an incident involving Melbourne Victory assistant coach Jean-Paul De Marigny from Saturday night’s Melbourne Derby.
The independent Match Review Panel (MRP) – consisting of Simon Micallef (Chair), Matthew Breeze and Alan Davidson – convened to consider an incident involving Jean-Paul De Marigny (Assistant Coach, Melbourne Victory FC) in or around the 79th minute of Melbourne Victory FC’s Round 11 match against Melbourne City FC on Saturday, 17 December 2016.
The MRP has the authority to consider the incident as De Marigny was expelled from the match by the Referee.
The MRP determined that De Marigny committed the offence of Use of offensive, insulting or abusive language and/or gestures towards a match official.
The MRP has proposed a sanction of one (1) match, being the Mandatory Match Suspension.
