If the off-season transfer business done by the ten clubs is any indication, this season will take the Hyundai A-League to a new level.
Just take a look at some of the names that will call the Hyundai A-League home this season.
Bobo at Sydney FC, Thomas Kristensen at Roar, City’s Danish signing Michael Jakobsen, Alan Baro at Victory, Wanderers’ Jumpei Kusukami and Bruno Pinatares, Marco Rossi at Phoenix, Wayne Brown and Aleksandr Kokko at the Jets, to name a few.Â
That’s pretty impressive.
Strong Aussie flavour
Henrique (Adelaide), Kerem Bulut  (Wanderers), Neil Kilkenny (City), Josh Brillante (Sydney FC), Bernie Ibini (Sydney FC), Rob Cornthwaite (Wanderers), Brett Holman (Brisbane), James Troisi (Victory), Rhys Williams and Adam Taggart (Perth Glory) are all back in the league.
And for some, it’s their first time in an A-League jersey.
Not to mention in the coaching ranks we’ll see former Caltex Socceroo captain Paul Okon at the Mariners for his first club gig.

Superstars and rising stars
How good is it that Caltex Socceroos legend Tim Cahill will be playing in the Hyundai A-League with Melbourne City, with the striker adding some serious star power to the competition.
But there’s also some new faces and emerging talent to get excited about.
Melbourne Victory’s 16-year-old Sebastian Pasquali, Lachlan Scott (Wanderers), Devante Clut (Jets), Jamal Reiners (Glory), Ryan Kitto (Adelaide) and the list goes on.

Nothing in Australian sport quite matches the atmosphere and passion of football fans and the Hyundai A-League always provides great noise and colour.
The derbies are especially special occasions throughout the season and appear to be going to new levels each season, thanks impart to the impact of the fans.
History is set to be made in round one of the 2016/17 season with a Hyundai A-League record crowd likely to be at ANZ Stadium for the Wanderers clash with Sydney FC.
