Sydney FC have been spotted in the most bizarre of circumstances, right at the heart of F1 driver Nico Hulkenberg’s historic celebrations.
Nico Hulkenberg is a German Formula 1 driver who drives for Kick Sauber and has been involved in the sport for 15 years.
In 239 times on the grid, he had never finished on the podium – that was until last Sunday when he came 3rd at the British Grand Prix.
Upon returning home to Germany to celebrate with his family, Hulkenberg was surprised by his wife Egle and his daughter Noemi along with a few of his closest friends.

In a video circulated around social media of his friends welcoming him home, you can see his daughter sporting the Sydney FC home kit in one if the most bizarre links ever seen in Australian sport.
As the clip continues, the 37-year-old picks up his daughter Noemi as his dog does 360 spins and you can clearly see the Sky Blue jersey front and centre!
