Newcastle Jets have added international Canadian goalkeeper Danielle Krzyzaniak to their Liberty A-League squad ahead of the 2024-25 season.
Krzyzaniak, 27, joins the club after a stint at AC Sparta Prague in the Czech Republic.
Formerly of Romanian outfit FC Carmen Bucuresti, Krzyzaniak moves to the Jets for her first stint in the Liberty A-League and in the words of Newcastle head coach Ryan Campbell, she’s the perfect fit to the style of play he hopes to implement this season.
“The goalkeeper position is an area that I have spent a lot of my time ensuring we get right with our recruitment,” Campbell said.
“With the style of play we are looking to implement, having someone that fits the profile, both physically and also technically, has been a key focus.
“The first time I spoke with Danielle I identified a lot of positive aspects that match the team and club’s philosophy. I am looking forward to getting Danielle here and start working with her as part of a very solid goalkeeping department that we now have.”

Krzyzaniak is the second new arrival at the Jets this off-season, joining American defender Bel Rolley at the club.
The Jets are looking to build on an historic Semi-Final finish in 2023-24, and have re-signed Cassidy Davis, Emma Dundas, Claudia Cicco, Sophie Hoban, Natasha Prior, Milan Hammond and Libby Copus-Brown in preparation for the new campaign.
Like so many overseas signings preparing for their first stint in the Liberty A-League, Krzyzaniak says it has always been a goal to play in the competition.
“It’s an honour to represent the Jets for the upcoming season,” Krzyzaniak said.
“I’ve always wanted to play in the A-League so I was ecstatic when this opportunity came up.
“I’m looking forward to being exposed to a different style of play. I’m hoping I can make a positive impact and help my team succeed. I can’t wait to play alongside my new teammates, and together give our all for the club. I’m eager to get going.”
