Newcastle Jets have announced the signing of Joel Bertolissio from APIA Leichhardt for the Isuzu UTE A-League 2025-26 season.
The 22-year-old midfielder can also play in defence, and has previously played for Macarthur Bulls where he made his Isuzu UTE A-League debut in 2024.

Bertolissio said. “I’m happy to sign for the Jets. The opportunity to prove myself at this club is something I won’t take for granted. I really feel I can add to this team and after meeting and training with my teammates I’m excited for the season ahead.
“We need to keep working hard and there’s a lot to look forward to here.”
Newcastle Jets coach Mark Milligan said. “Joel is a young hungry player. He has had a taste of professional football and his performance in the NPL have shown his desire to get back to the top level.
“Joel is a very aggressive and technically gifted young player, while still has a lot of room to grow his ability to play multiple roles and his drive to be the best player he can be fits very well with what we are trying to achieve as a club.”

Bertolissio will link up with the A-League Men’s squad immediately, however, is ineligible for the Jets’ Australia Cup campaign having previously represented APIA Leichhardt in the previous round.
