The FFA Cup 2019 Round of 32 continues on Wednesday night with another five matches, with Hyundai A-League clubs featuring for the first time in this year’s competition.
Melbourne City – under new boss Erick Mombaerts – are part of the feature match on Fox Sports, taking on reigning Australian NPL champions Campbelltown City from South Australia.

In the Hunter, Central Coast Mariners are also in action against NPL opposition, taking on Northern NSW side Maitland FC.
With the two Hyundai A-League outfits getting set for their first competitive match of the new season, it’s a chance for fans to get a first serious look at some of their new recruits.
We’ve picked out five players from City and the Mariners who could play key roles for their clubs on Wednesday night.
Josh Brillante – Melbourne City
City are desperate to win some silverware in the Hyundai A-League and in Brillante they have someone who has won it all.
The all-action midfielder joined City after three hugely successful seasons at Sydney FC, where he was part of a side that won two championships, two premierships and an FFA Cup.
Brillante, who has won five caps for the Caltex Socceroos, adds industry and steel to City’s side, as well as excellent work-rate and protection to the back-four.

Craig Noone – Melbourne City
As someone with English Premier League experience, including a goal against Manchester City, Noone has the potential to light-up the Hyundai A-League.
One of a few key attacking signings by City, the 31-year-old has loads of flair and an abundance of speed which makes him a threat, especially in wide areas.
City is the 31-year-old’s first club outside of the UK and with a hunger to bring success to his new employers, Noone will de desperate to make an impression in this competition.

Javier Cabrera – Melbourne City
He may not be well-known to Australian fans yet but there’s plenty of buzz surrounding the Uruguayan attacker.
Cabrera, who signed a two-year deal earlier this month, can play as a winger or attacking midfielder and has an eye for goal.

Still just 27, Cabrera has played more than 200 senior games in his career at clubs in his homeland, as well as Spain, Mexico and Argentina.

Jai Ingham – Central Coast Mariners
The good news for Mariners boss Alen Stajcic is that Ingham has arrived in Gosford with a point to prove.
Featuring just four times for Melbourne Victory last season, the New Zealand international is looking to re-establish his career with the Mariners.
He scored two goals in the recent friendly against Charlestown City Blues meaning he’ll head into the clash with Maitland in form and oozing confidence.

Ziggy Gordon – Central Coast Mariners
If there’s one thing the Mariners need to help improve their fortunes in 2019/20, it’s some experience and leadership on the pitch.
And it tough-tackling Scottish defender they have just that…and more.
Gordon arrives at the Mariners having played the majority of his career with Hamilton Academical – where he was captain – in Scotland’s top flight.
It takes a special player to captain their club at 21-years-of age. @ziggyG16 did just that, at Celtic Park, in a 1-0 win over Celtic with @acciesfc.
