Perth Glory FC and Ljubo Milicevic have mutually agreed to a termination of the centre-back’s contract after two months with the club.

Milicevic had joined the club after briefly playing for South Melbourne in 2013 and appeared to be set to start in the Glory’s defence as the club looked to improve on their sixth place finish last season.

It was Milicivec’s second stint at the club after playing between 1999 and 2001 and had several stints in Europe, notably with FC Zurich, FC Thun and Hadjuk Split.

“I-d like to thank Ljubo for his services to the club during the past two months,” said Glory CEO Jason Brewer, “but it has been decided by mutual consent to allow him to pursue other opportunities.”

“On behalf of the club, I-d like to take this opportunity to wish him all the very best for the future.”
