Melbourne Victory go TOP in biggest home result against Perth in more than 4 years!

Melbourne Victory cruised to a 3-0 win over Perth Glory in the Ninja A-League on Sunday.

First-half goals from Kennedy White, Sofia Sakalis and Rhianna Pollicina guided Victory to a seventh consecutive match without defeat against the Glory.

After a Round 4-loss to Wellington Phoenix, Victory bounced back to celebrate their biggest home triumph versus Perth since March 2021 when they were 6-0 victors.

Victory also provisionally climbed top of the table, with only one match played this weekend due to the international break.

American import White broke the deadlock in the 21st minute – her fifth goal in as many matches setting the tone at the Home of the Matildas, where kick-off was delayed by 15 minutes due to lightning.

Victory made it 2-0 15 minutes later. Excellent work by Holly Furphy to chase down her opponent and dispossess the Glory defender created the goal as her ball across the six-yard box found Sakalis to poke home.

With three minutes of regulation remaining in the first half, Policina’s deflected strike found the back of the net.

Victory continued to push forward for more goals as Perth tried to spark a comeback, but Jeff Hopkins’ were not to be denied a third win of 2025-26.
