Furphy joined Victory’s A-League Women’s side in January and had an immediate impact, scoring off the bench on her Victory debut and ultimately going on to play 14 games and scoring three goals for the 2024-25 season.
Crowned the ASEAN Women’s Championship MVP, Furphy’s talent was also on display when she scored the match, and ultimately tournament-winning goal, for Australia over Myanmar at the Serenity Cup.
Sakalis showed incredible talent in the midfield, adding depth to the Victory line-up across seven matches for the season, after making her starting debut for the club against Western Sydney Wanderers in January 2025.
With the focus on continuing success, Victory Director of Football John Didulica said he was pleased to have the trio continuing their careers with the Club.
“We are very pleased to have Alana, Holly and Sofia returning for a second season with Melbourne Victory,” Didulica said.
“Having fallen just short of silverware last season, we are committed to going one better in Season 2025-26.
“Providing a platform for success for local talent and giving them the opportunity to play in the best women’s football program in the country is important to us and we look forward to seeing them all carry their outstanding national team form into the A-Leagues season.”
