“German’s versatility and style of play make him an exciting addition to our squad, and a player that I think the fans will really enjoy watching play,” said City’s director of football Michael Petrillo.

“Being able to play across numerous positions enhances our tactical options, and his aggressive defending and attacking mindset brings an important dynamic to our team.

“He’s a physical, hard-working defender, and a player that I don’t think will take long to adapt to our style of play.”

Ferreyra progressed through the youth ranks at Velez Sarsfield – one of the most successful team’s in Argentina.

He also had two stints on loan at Arsenal de Sarandi in Argentina before playing for Chilean outfit Union La Calera and Russian club Akron Tolyatti.

In 2021, Ferreyra joined Krasnoyarsk, where he scored four goals and supplied four assists in 85 appearances for the second-tier side.
