New Western Sydney Wanderers midfielder Chloe Berryhill is hoping a strong start to life at her new club will be enough to see her earn a spot at next year’s AFC Women’s Asian Cup before retiring at the end of the campaign.
The 30-year-old joined the Wanderers on a deal until the end of the 2025-26 Ninja A-League season after leaving Italian side Como 1907.

Despite only signing for the club at the back end of last week, the 50-time Matildas midfielder still debuted for the Wanderers in Sunday’s loss to the Central Coast Mariners, getting through 67 minutes before being replaced.

Whilst the midfielder did reveal she was intent on making this season her last in top-flight football when addressing the Wanderers fans after her signing was announced, the 30-year-old expanded on that decision after Sunday’s game.
