CommBank Matildas star Emily van Egmond is a free agent after departing San Diego Wave in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).
Van Egmond agreed to mutually terminate her contract with the NWSL club in the United States amid reports San Diego are poised to appoint former Arsenal boss Jonas Eidevall.
The A-Leagues legend departs after three seasons in San Diego, where the Australia international made 70 appearances (58 starts) across all competitions, while scoring two goals and supplying two assists.

“It will forever have a special place in my heart, and I have loved every moment here.
“To the fans, you have made me feel right at home and I wish the club nothing but the best for the upcoming season. Excited for my next chapter.”
