Adelaide United assistant coach Mark Milligan has left the Isuzu UTE A-League club for an opportunity abroad.
The Reds confirmed Milligan’s departure on the eve of Monday’s Round 12 showdown against Macarthur Bulls at Campbelltown Stadium.
Milligan – who had been touted as a potential replacement for Patrick Kisnorbo at Melbourne Victory following his move to Yokohama F.Marinos in Japan – had been Carl Veart’s assistant since his appointment in 2022.

“I’ve had the privilege of working with some fantastic players at the club since my arrival,” said the retired Socceroo.
“A huge thank you to the club for providing an environment where I could grow and develop as a coach, and to Carl and the entire coaching team for their support during my time here. This is a wonderful place to work, for both players and staff.
“I wish the club all the best for the upcoming season, and I’ll be cheering on the Reds from afar.”
Airton Andrioli, who will also remain as Adelaide’s Head of Youth Development, and Travis Dodd will jointly assume Milligan’s coaching responsibilities for the remainder of the 2024-25 season, starting against Macarthur.
“It’s been a privilege to have Mark as part of our coaching staff. Watching him grow and evolve as a coach has been a real pleasure, and I’m confident he has a bright and successful coaching career ahead of him,” said head coach Veart.
“We thank him for his dedication and wish him all the best for the future.”

“The club has supported him and his family both on and off the pitch and has watched him grow as a coach during his time here.
“We wish him all the best in this new chapter of his career.”
