Mariners terminate Spanish striker’s contract ‘by mutual consent’

Spanish striker Asdrúbal has departed Central Coast Mariners midway into his first season in the Hyundai A-League. 

The club announced the departure late on Friday night in an official release. 

‘The Central Coast Mariners can today advise that the contract of Spanish striker, Asdrúbal has been terminated by mutual consent, effective immediately,’ the club said in the release. 

‘Asdrúbal arrived on the Central Coast during pre-season, scoring two goals in his 11 Hyundai A-League appearances.

‘The 26-year-old will depart the Central Coast due to personal reasons.

The Central Coast Mariners would like to thank Asdrúbal for his contribution to the club and wish him all the best on his future endeavours.’

The Mariners face Sydney FC on Saturday.
