Macarthur prospect, who made his Australia Cup debut, graduates to A-Leagues contract

Teenage young gun Dean Bosnjak has been promoted to Macarthur FC’s Isuzu UTE A-League squad.

Macarthur have signed the 17-year-old to a scholarship contract for the 2024-25 season following his Australia Cup debut in a wild 4-3 Round-of-16 victory over Newcastle Jets last week.

Bosnjak has impressed with Macarthur’s academy team, having scored nine goals across 28 matches for Bulls FC Academy’s senior side in Football NSW League One and the Under-20 squad.

Of those nine goals, four have come for Craig Noone’s senior academy outfit, who are preparing for a two-legged promotion/relegation play-off against Central Coast Mariners for a spot in NPLM NSW.

“It feels good, I feel very grateful for being a part of the team and I’m looking forward to the new season,” said Bosnjak, who scored eight goals for the U20 side in 2023.

“I just want to help the team win games, I want to improve and get better every day.”
